Ball-handling, shooting form, rebounding, footwork and finishing skills

GAME SITUATIONS

Floor spacing, movement off of a screen, 1-on-1 attacking and defense and ball penetration

PHYSICAL

Increase speed/agility, build explosive power, increase endurance and aerobic capacity and reduce chance of injury

ADVANCED TECHNIQUES

Reading a defense, managing fast break situations, post moves (high and low post), running a team as a point guard, creating your shot and help defense

MENTAL

Learn mental toughness and discipline; Build player confidence, superior focus, game preparation and improved attitude

COACH T

Coach T was born and raised in Charolette, North Carolina. He then attended the University of Tampa, and during his time there, held the point guard position for his team. This was followed by involvement in the ABA (American Basketball Association) and overseas leagues.

COACH DERRICK SHARP

Derrick Sharp is HoopWERX’s resident superstar coach. He is a USF alumni and played for the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club for 15 years. He first served as team captain and later served as assistant coach under David Blatt. With Maccabi, he won a record 29 trophies. In July 2011, Sharp retired as a player; he remained with Maccabi Tel Aviv as an assistant coach until August 2013.
Derrick will teach members the fundamentals of the game and help drastically improve shooting and ball handling skills.
